The Reading League’s Reading Buddies is an engaging foundational television series, based on the science of reading, that cleverly teaches underlying components of skillful word reading such as phonological awareness, letter names/sounds, and blending sounds to decode words.
The show takes place outside of a backyard and inside a reading nook.
For the exterior set, the goal was to create a bright sunny filled day with natural day light. Additional textures were added to the house and happy camper to create more dimension to complete the world. Cloud templates were also added to the cyc to help create depth.
For the interior set, the goal was to create a friendly, welcoming environment by using warmer color temperatures. Additionally lighting fixtures were added inside the reading nook to help highlight the bookcase. Additional star templates were added for the gameshow segment to add an extra element of fun.
